Garden Huckleberry (Njama NJama)

Huckleberry, also known as Garden Huckleberry or Njama Njama, is a cherished leafy vegetable, deeply rooted in Cameroonian cuisine. At Goshen Organic Farm in Texas, we grow this exceptional crop with care and dedication to bring you the freshest and most authentic produce.

Our seeds originate from Marie and Mary, skilled Cameroonian farmers in Northwestern Oregon, who call this vegetable “Hokeyberry.” They’ve cultivated three distinct varieties—Buea, Bamenda, and Bamoun—each named after regions in Cameroon. These varieties differ in leaf shapes, sizes, and bitterness but are traditionally prepared together to create a harmonious and flavorful dish.

With guidance from Marie and Mary, we ensure that our Huckleberry retains its authentic quality while being nurtured under ideal conditions in Texas. Perfect for stews, sautés, and soups, this leafy green brings the taste and tradition of Cameroon to your table.
